I could be more serious with this homepage, sure – the innocent light blue isn't exactly screaming "cool" or "clinical" but it doesn't have to. My work speaks for itself, this screen is merely a smile. A chance to say hello. A chance for us to all take a moment and relax. Inhale, exhale.
Are you sitting comfortably?
Good. The brief bio is that I'm Rhys (he/him) a 27-year-old from west Wales living in London. I work with stories, I bring stories to life. I write them, I edit them, I shape them. These can be the stories from current affairs, of people, sometimes brands, sometimes entire subcultures. I write everything from short fiction to long narrative reporting; I consult for brands and editorial platforms, I work with visual identity, I also lecture and mentor young talent, among other things, as the more detailed pages will show you. If you have a story, I will help you tell it, and I will know the best way to tell it. Perhaps I'll write it, perhaps I'll know who should – perhaps you should, perhaps I can help you find your voice.
Crucially, I do this to the highest quality. I work with brands of all sizes that have a good, authentic, innovative purpose, and I write for acclaimed publications. If we are going to spend time writing stories for the world to enjoy, we might as well make them the very best they can be, don't you think? I sure do.
Specialisms include: lifestyle, subculture, young people, working class, positive masculinity, innovation, and the intersections of all these things. But I am a generalist because good stories exist everywhere, if you want more detail explore above.
Thank you for your time,
Rhys
